Estibelize was the best front desk host we've ever had at a property. Forget the guided tours, just ask Estibelize!...and she speaks excellent English and even taught us a bit of Basque. The location was excellent, with easy walking access to funicular, the beach, and a 15 minute beautiful walk down the famous promenade to Old Town. With very convenient bus stops right out the front door of the hotel, take the time to get an anonymous MUGI catd and the bus to costs less than $0.50/ride/person to anywhere in San Sebastian...including 7 minutes to Old Town! For Pintxos, just walk around the corner from the hotel and there are 2 local taverns with excellent food, reasonably priced for Pintxos and meals...plus famous Basque cheesecake show and Italian Troterria right across the street!

The other hotels of the same price range seemed to be much worse, so we were glad to find this option. Hotel is a bit far from the old town and train station, but for second visits at San Sebastian or just to stay in a more quiet and "authentic" area it is perfect. The beach nearby is beautiful, and you can easily access mount Igeldo. Furthermore, the walk along the coast to the old town is just marvelous so we didn't mind doing it twice per day. We had their breakfast once during the stay, very enjoyable if you like buffets as you have a bit of all including fresh fruit and hot buffet dishes. Room was quiet, beds comfy, water hot and enough pressure...nothing bad to say really, as the staff was also friendly!

Unfortunately two hours into our visit my wife was involved in an accident and broke her leg. The staff at the hotel were exceptional in offering help and support all whilst speaking excellent English. A special mention for the night receptionist (Manuel) who was incredibly helpful in getting my wife from reception to our room on 7th floor at 4.55 am on our return from hospital. She was in a thigh to heel plaster on her left leg making accessing the lift and getting to our room very difficult. He went above and beyond to help us. Room 704 is fantastic with fabulous views and great facilities.

Solid, clean and modern hotel with good facilities. It is a bit farther away from Old Town, but has a beach close to it and the neighborhood around it is much more local and has its own character that many might miss if they stay closer to the city center. Service there was solid, I was helped and everything was smooth if I needed something. Usually only one person working the front desk so you might need to wait a bit to get some attention. I rented a beach towel for an afternoon and it was nice. Room was solid with a working AC and comfy bed.

We had upgraded to a superior double room which was large and well equipped. The views were fantastic with a wraparound balcony which if sunnier would have been a lovely place to sit or lie out. Parking was extra but easy and breakfast was good. I think other rooms might not have been as spacious. Some supermarkets and restaurants nearby but quite a walk into the old town so make use of the d’izi bikes docked nearby.
